Rittersaal (Knight's Hall) of Wolfegg Castle
The Rittersaal at Wolfegg Castle, renowned among music connoisseurs for its outstanding acoustics, is one of the most remarkable Baroque rooms in the German-speaking world, distinguished by its characterful knightly figures and imposing ceiling mirror.
The juxtaposition of the larger-than-life wooden sculptures, stucco ornaments, ceiling and fireplace paintings creates a space of exceptional artistic and cultural-historical value.
Pfarrkirche St. Katharina, Wolfegg
Pfarrkirche St. Katharina in Wolfegg, formerly a collegiate church, is a magnificent example of Baroque architecture. Built in 1742 according to plans by Johann Georg Fischer, it impresses with its lively ceiling fresco and numerous putti playing music. Originally constructed as a collegiate church, it was rededicated as a parish church in 1803. To this day, the crypt serves as the burial place of the House of Waldburg.
Thanks to its excellent acoustics and impressive atmosphere, Pfarrkirche St. Katharina is an ideal venue for sacred and chamber music concerts. The sacred space lends the music a special depth and intensity.
Alte Pfarr, Wolfegg
Alte Pfarr, first mentioned in 1275, today impresses as an atmospheric event venue with its exposed late Gothic roof truss and clear architectural lines. Once the parish church of Wolfegg, it was secularised in 1808 and converted into a barn. Since its restoration in 1982, it has once again flourished as a unique cultural centre.
Its minimalist, timeless aesthetics provide an ideal setting for chamber music and special concert formats.
